If you know us, you know we think YouVersion is a great tool. Here’s what you may not know: YouVersion is about to get better.

The Digerati team at LifeChurch.tv, which developed YouVersion and a plethora of other technological innovations, is on the verge of releasing YouVersion Live — a means of facilitating content delivery and interaction via Web-enabled devices during live events. From the images below you’ll get a better idea of what YouVersion Live is all about and how it can be used in a church service or other live event, but you’ll get an even  better idea by attending the free YouVersion Live webinar tomorrow (Wednesday, September 23) from 2-3 pm CST at YouVersion.com/Live.

I'm very excited about this. I think it will make for a great tool for folks to stay involved and focused on the message being delivered. Every time we think we have a great idea for something for use in the church, the guys at LifeChurch.tv bring it out before we can even get it fully conceptualized. You guys are amazing!

Will there also be texting options for those who aren't iphone users? Will there be content monitoring and bigscreen display solution like paratweet. I guess i'll find out tomorrow. Come on YouVersion you can do it!

Good questions, Dane. From what I saw last week, there aren't any alternatives for folks without a smartphone or a laptop, which suggests that churches probably shouldn't use YouVersion Live in a way that prevents everyone from keeping up with what is going on. My guess is that some display solutions are on the way, but that's just a guess …
