Some of you find yourselves a bit confused as you peruse the brand new EchoHub.com. You’re thinking, Wait, what happened to COLLIDE?
Simply put, COLLIDE is gone — we’ve replaced it with Echo Hub. Here’s the story:
We started printing COLLIDE Magazine in September 2007. After 20 bi-monthly issues, a lot of fun, a lot of work, and a lot of paper cuts, we decided to stop printing magazines and focus on the Web. (And many trees rejoiced!)
Part of our decision to focus on the Web was an idea to take COLLIDE — editorial content for church communicators — and pair it more closely with Echo Conference — an event for church communicators. Thus, Echo Hub started taking shape. At the beginning of 2011 we started sketching it out and we’ve been working to bring EchoHub.com to life ever since. And here we are.
Now, as 2011 draws to a close, we’re redirecting collidemagazine.com links to corresponding pages and posts on echohub.com. Other than in passing, it’s unlikely you’ll see the COLLIDE name appear on this site going forward. So there you go.
The good news is that even though COLLIDE is gone, we’re still committed to producing great editorial content on a daily-ish basis. That’s what our Posts section is all about, so click around and see what we’ve got going on.
Oh, and go ahead and subscribe to our RSS feed and follow us on Twitter so that we can keep the conversation going. Thanks for stopping by!
Scott McClellan is the Editor of Echo Hub and the Director of Echo Conference.
