MyBetterStory.com: How to Help with Technology

I could probably say this every week, but Elevation Church is up to something cool. Elevation’s current sermon series is called “Living a Better Story,” and in order to support that series, the team at Elevation launched MyBetterStory.com. It’s a simple website that invites people to identify and articulate the stories they think God is calling them to live.

As Pastor Steven Furtick explains in the video below, the site was birthed out of a desire to help people explore and apply the sermon series — what a great concept! As Furtick goes on to say, the site represents an opportunity to share and be encouraged, and I happen to agree.

This motivation behind MyBetterStory.com — to help and encourage — is a fantastic model for how local churches can use technology. Maybe you can’t launch a micro-site with every new sermon series, but you can be on the lookout for opportunities to help people go deeper, to help them connect their daily faith with what happens on Sundays. MyBetterStory.com is just one possible expression of this underlying commitment to equip the saints whenever and wherever we’re able.

Pretty cool, huh? I think so.

Here is Pastor Steven Furtick’s introduction and explanation:
