Earlier this week, Bobby Gruenewald and LifeChurch.tv made a pretty exciting announcement: Beginning January 9, 2012, LifeChurch.tv’s Church Online platform will be available for free to churches. Free, yes, free.
Gruenewald, who is a pastor and Innovation Leader at LifeChurch.tv, explains a little bit more in a video here, so watch that for more details. If you want to stay in the loop, head over to ChurchOnline.org for a few more details and sign up for the email list.
Not that they need my approval or anything, but I’d like to applaud the leadership of LifeChurch.tv. Not only do they pursue innovative initiatives that leverage technology in hopes of advancing the gospel, they’re generous with the fruits of their labor. After all, this is the same church that brings us YouVersion (and its various mobile apps), OPEN, ChurchMetrics, and more. It’s great to see a church that actively empowers other local churches and the Church worldwide, right? Right. But I digress.
If you’re interested in exploring online ministry or changing your existing platform, and if FREE fits your 2012 budget, head to ChurchOnline.org to find out more.
