I’ve been working on trying to develop a personal definition of effective design (not graphic design specifically, just design) and this is where I’m at right now:
Effective design solves problems and creates new possibilities through the successful confluence of mission, intention, and values.
I don’t know that it’s done, but I think it works. What do you think? How do you define good or effective design?
