The Coolest Video I've Ever Seen

And I’m not hyperbolizing … this video is so cool! It was created by an artist named Blu, an incredibly talented individual.

MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo.

I showed it to our designer, Ryan Jarrell, and he agreed with me about its “coolest video ever” status. Then, he poignantly asked how much more powerful the video would’ve been if it had a meaningful message. Well said.

WOW! that is amazing and must have taken days! and very … interesting. I’m not sure whether to blog about this or not … it’s very … odd.

I’ve seen it before, and is a great example of incredible street art – its a field that normally has a projected social statement in most of the work, and I agree… it would even cooler if it had a meaningful message to go with the people popping out of people. It would be neat if more artists would move away from the conventional forms of media we use and get more and more creative with the way they speak Truth.

Very impressive. It must have taken forever! I like how ‘messy’ it is – when characters move, you see the trail of outlines behind them, like “onion skinning” when animating with Flash or ToonBoom (or paper, I guess).

That’s amazing. I especially love how seamless the scene changes are.

yeah… there’s no flash animating or onion skinning… that’s real paintings done frame by frame stop motion.
