The David Crowder*Band has done great things for worship music and Christian music in Communication in the last years. So we expect nothing less from Crowder’s newest release, Church Music. Expect more electronically inspired songs as well as some Crowder classics and Crowder’s version on John Mark McMillan’s “How He Loves.”

Pearl JamBackspacer – Sept 22
http://www.pearljam.com/

Pearl Jam, one of the 90’s most popular rock bands, is still rocking it after 20 years. Their highly anticipated release, Backspacer, has a lot of buzz around it in the music world. Whether Pearl Jam’s new music will ever compare to the 90’s grunge classics like “Jeremy,” and “Alive,” we don’t know. If you’re looking to catch them live, they will be headlining Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.

Monsters of FolkMonsters of Folk – Sept 22

In 2007, Glenn Hansard and Marketa Irglova shocked with world with their Oscar win for Best Original Song in their acclaimed indie hit movie, Once. FeeHope Rising – Oct 6
http://feeband.com/

Steve Fee got his start in the early days of the Passion movement and hasn’t slowed down since. This energetic, rock/worship band (imagine worship music meets Angels and Airwaves) continues to produce energetic worship ballads, perfect for youth groups and worship service alike.

Phil WickhamHeaven & Earth – Oct 20
http://philwickham.com

Phil Wickham is a Christian artist and worship leader whose songs have been sung in churches worldwide, the most popular being “Canons.” Wickham’s soaring vocals and wicked vibrato combined with electric and acoustic melodies create elegant yet epic songs. He is also giving away a live album recording called singalong on his website for free.

WeezerRaditude – Oct 27
http://www.weezer.com/

In 1994 Weezer took the country and world by storm and rock music hasn’t been the same since. While we still think the Blue Album will always be their best, we always look forward to the next Weezer album. You can hear their first single from Raditude, “I Want You To,” over at their website now.

This growing indie rock/pop band hailing from Canada has a unique sound that is shaking up the music world. Their last full-length album was released in 2007, making Sainthood long overdue.

SwitchfootHello Huricane – Nov 3
www.switchfoot.com

Switchfoot is one of the biggest names in the Christian-rock-gone-secular world and for a good reason. Whether it’s the driving guitars, Jon Foreman’s vocal talent, or the lyrical depth, Switchfoot’s albums are always something worth anticipating, and Hello Hurricane is no exception. You can here the first single “Mess Of Me” right here.

John Mayer Battle Studies – Nov 17
http://www.johnmayer.com/

People may call John Mayer a pop sellout, but boy can he play the guitar. We expect more blues-inspired songs mixed with the pop style that made him so successful. But from some of the videos on his website, it looks like he’ll be integrating some piano and electronic beats as well. We’ll just have to wait and see (hear).
