Signed, Sealed, But Perhaps Not Yet Delivered

Boy, what an anticlimactic return to the COLLIDE blog this is.

Some of you still haven’t received your copy of our November/December issue yet, and for that I’d like to apologize. We’re told by our printer that the whole lot of magazines left the post office almost two and a half weeks ago, so it’s a little baffling that some issues are still in transit. We thank you for your patience so far, and we humbly ask you for a little more patience.

We know/believe/think/hope the issue is worth the wait, but please know that we never intended for you to have to wait this long. Hopefully, your copy of our November/December issue will be in your mailbox today, along with 17 catalogs you never asked for from stores you’ve never heard of.

Hey guys, I got my issue almost a week ago here in Little Rock. It was my first issue and man oh man! Ccllide is a great publication! It will be all doggeared up by the time the Jan 2008 issue arrives.

I had to laugh at some of the letters and comments. Folks, every issue and every story is not going to be for everyone.

Keep up the awesome work and have a great Christmas.
    Geo.

The church office handed me this issue along with a stack of three other magazines that I glanced at before tossing in the trash can. Collide, however, caught my eye. Since we are nearing the completion of a major sound and video upgrade that will incorporate multimedia, my job as the self-proclaimed technical director is becoming that much more difficult.
Collide seems to offer some pretty insightful articles as well as some links to useful media. When I read “Sermon Graphics in Ten Minutes” I almost felt the need to bust out a post-it pad and take notes. It makes sense now to incorporate “picture words” into the sermon title so the media has some sense of continuity with the rest of the service.
Sorry for the long reply, but I just had to let you know that it was impressive. According to the spine of this free issue, there is an issue #1 floating around out there. Is there any way to order older issues?
