You know that the image above is from the cover of our September/October issue. You know that Story (the conference) is just around the corner and that it will be phenomenal. But here’s a little more Story for you …
A couple days ago I got an email from a ministry in which my wife and I are involved. The email didn’t give any stats and it didn’t ask us to do anything. The email simply told the story of a family who, with the help of the ministry, adopted a little girl from India. The email introduced us to this family and their journey, told us how they were doing since they got home from India, and even included a few pictures.
Again, the email didn’t ask me to do anything. And yet, I’m ready to do anything I can for this ministry. This just goes to show …
If you have a story to tell, tell it. If you don’t, ask yourself why that’s the case.
If God’s at work in and through your ministry, don’t keep it a secret.
Don’t ask people for their time or money. Invite them into the stories your ministry is telling. The people who are stirred by your stories will get on board.
